Glasstec 2026: Schiavo Lift Brings Field-Proven Glass Handling Technology to Düsseldorf
Glasstec 2026 2026 takes place from 20 to 23 October in Düsseldorf, Germany — the world’s leading trade fair for the glass industry, with 32,023 verified professional visitors and 1,257 registered exhibitors at the previous edition. Schiavo will be present in Hall 15, Stand F27, presenting a combined range of glass lifting, handling and processing machines from its two business units.

For business owners, production managers and procurement teams planning machinery upgrades ahead of 2027, the fair offers four days to evaluate the best technology available on the market.
Background
The 2026 edition groups exhibitors into eight thematic areas and centres its programme on three sector themes: artificial intelligence and digital tools in production, decarbonisation and the circular economy.
What Schiavo Brings to Hall 15, Stand F27
Four machine families will be on display, spanning glass handling, vertical washing and precision drilling/milling.
MANI2E · MANI2SPGBP — Glass Manipulators

Various configurations of the Mani manipulator series: the MANI2E, the MANI2SPGBP and more. Load-balancing manipulators designed to eliminate physical strain in repetitive handling operations on insulating glass lines, edge grinders, tempering furnaces and laminating lines. Protective suction cup covers are available for coated and Low-E glass.
Identifying the best solution requires knowing a few details about your production: glass dimensions and weight, application type, and other factors that determine how the glass needs to be handled.
What’s the difference?
On the MANI2E, lifting is performed by an electric hoist with a stroke adjustable to requirements. Rotation is motorised up to 200°. It is lightweight, compact and easy to manoeuvre. Ideal for operating on insulating glass production lines or in-line edge grinders.
The MANI2SPGBP is fully pneumatic. Lifting stroke is 1,500 mm. Rotation and tilting are both pneumatic. It is the ideal solution for operating on insulating glass lines, tempering furnaces and laminating lines. Compared with the MANI2E, which has an electric hoist, this system is more rigid and moves the crane arm instantaneously.
VM 4 · VML 4 — Vacuum Lifters

The VM 4 and VML 4 are vacuum lifters with dual-circuit safety logic, designed for the safe transfer of monolithic, laminated and insulating glass. Both are built for use in the workshop and on site.
The units run on rechargeable batteries. As an option, they can be fitted with wireless control and a safety cylinder for tilting operations. With the VM series, the position of the suction cups can be adjusted and arms added to increase the distance between them, stabilising the load and reducing its deflection.
Plus 2000.6 — Vertical Glass Washing Machine

The Plus 2000.6 is a vertical glass washing machine from Schiavo’s processing range, designed for in-line or standalone washing upstream of laminating, tempering or insulating glass operations. (Detailed technical specifications are available at schiavotech.com — please check the latest specifications with the team at the Glasstec stand.)
FV1000 — Vertical Drilling and Milling Machine

The FV1000 is a vertical CNC drilling and milling machine for glass, combining drilling, countersinking and milling operations in a single vertical machine — making it the ideal solution for producing glass doors and shower enclosures. (Detailed technical specifications are available at schiavotech.com — please check the latest specifications with the team at the Glasstec stand.)
Operational Impact
The lifting equipment in this range falls within the scope of EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230, with the performance of safety-related controls assessed in accordance with UNI EN ISO 13849-1.
